nabtrade has two types of international trading accounts:
The International Trading Account (AUD Funded) allows you to buy international equities by converting Australian Dollars from your nabtrade Cash Account or margin loan into the required currency. When you sell an international equity the settlement proceeds will be deposited into your nabtrade Cash Account in Australian Dollars.
The MCFSS account allows you to hold and settle trades in the local currency of the market you're trading in (USD, GBP, EUR or HKD). The foreign currency wallet allows you to decide how and when you convert foreign currency.
See Multi Currency Facility for more information about activating an MCFSS account.
Please ensure your Tax File Number (TFN) is held by nabtrade for you and any other account holders, as this is a requirement for international trading. You can check this by going to Settings > Profile > Citizenship and tax residency. If your TFN is not held, please enter it online by clicking Edit.
For security and privacy purposes, please do not email us your TFN.
As well as a domestic trading account, all new nabtrade profiles will be established with an International Trading Account (AUD Funded).
Before we can activate the international account, we need to verify some information from you to meet our global tax obligations. This account will remain inactive until you have provided us with the necessary verification documentation.
