How do I change or remove a director on my company account or trust with a corporate trustee?

To remove a director on a company account, a remaining director needs to send an email to enquiries@nabtrade.com.au requesting the removal of a director.

To add a new director, we require you to complete and return a trust or company application form via forms@nabtrade.com.au. Please note, the new director will only need to complete Section 3 of the trust or company application and signatory page. This will also need to be signed by any additional directors still listed on the nabtrade account.

If the new director is new to NAB or nabtrade, they must:

  • Provide ID in person at a NAB branch; or
  • Post certified ID with their application form.

Once we have received this information, nabtrade will complete the necessary company checks, including an ASIC company search to ensure the details match.

If all the details are correct, nabtrade will process the change of directors and contact you, if further information is required.

Please note:

  • Where a company has two or more directors registered with ASIC, nabtrade requires a minimum of two to have access to the account.
  • For a company with two or more directors, when we receive a request from you to remove one from the account, we can only do so if two or more directors will still retain access to the nabtrade account, Otherwise, we will only be able to remove the director once a second director has been added to the account.
  • Where the director is a sole director, they cannot be removed until a new director is added.
