What are CHESS holding statements and notifications?

CHESS holding statements are sent by the ASX at the end of each month if there has been any transactions or changes to your CHESS holdings during that month, such as buying or selling shares. The statement shows the opening and closing holding balances for the statement period, as well as listing any CHESS transactions that have occurred during the month. 

The ASX will also send notifications to inform you that your CHESS sponsor/broker has advised the ASX that your details have changed.
