Security Alert: Scam Text Messages

We’re aware that some nabtrade clients have received text messages claiming to be from [nabtrade securities], asking them to click a link to remove restrictions on their nabtrade account. Please be aware this is likely a scam. Do not click on any links in these messages. nabtrade will never ask you to click on a link via a text message to verify or unlock your account.

How do I transfer Broker Sponsored shares to nabtrade?

Use the Broker to Broker transfer form to transfer your existing shares from another broker to your nabtrade account.

  • To access the Broker to Broker transfer form, navigate to Settings from the main navigation and click on Broker to Broker transfer form.
  • Follow the prompts and a PDF form will be generated for you.

Note: You must print, sign and return the Broker to Broker Transfer form. Your transfer request cannot be initiated until we receive a signed copy of the form. Send the form to us at forms@nabtrade.com.au or via mail to: nabtrade, GPO Box 4545, Melbourne VIC 3001.

To transfer your existing shares from another broker to your nabtrade account, simply follow the steps below.

Transfer steps

  • Log in to nabtrade using your login ID and password.
  • Navigate to Admin > Permissions.
  • Click on the Apply link next to Broker Sponsored Transfer and follow the onscreen prompts.
  • After pressing the ‘Submit’ button, print the form (PDF) and complete any outstanding information.

Important: We cannot finalise the transfer until we receive your completed form and relevant supporting documents.

Things to know

So we can process your transfer quickly, please make sure:

  • You print the broker to broker form after pressing the ‘submit’ button, and post or email the form to us
  • The name and address details listed on your nabtrade account are the same as the details held with your current Sponsoring Broker. If these are not the same, your request may be delayed or rejected
  • All account holders sign the transfer form
  • Lines are drawn through any mistakes on the form and initialled by all signatories on the account
  • You have no open orders for the shares you are transferring, and
  • You include your latest CHESS Holding Statement with your request.
