Security Alert: Scam Text Messages
We’re aware that some nabtrade clients have received text messages claiming to be from [nabtrade securities], asking them to click a link to remove restrictions on their nabtrade account. Please be aware this is likely a scam. Do not click on any links in these messages. nabtrade will never ask you to click on a link via a text message to verify or unlock your account.
NAB’s multiple applicant company onboarding feature allows customers to invite other required parties to complete their onboarding digitally without any need to visit branch or paperwork.
During your application, you’ll be prompted to enter contact details (email and mobile) for connected parties such as directors, or beneficial owners. NAB will send them an invitation to onboard themselves digitally from donotreply@nab.com.au.
Yes, the primary applicant receives the acknowledgement of successful application submission via text and email.
There are text and email reminders sent on Day 2, Day 4 and Day 6 confirming the status of the application including how many connected parties have actioned the invite and how many are pending. Application submission date is considered as Day 0 and these are calendar days.
Once the connected parties have accepted their invitations and verified their identity online, all applicants receive the successful application email as well as text.
In a situation where any of the connected parties declines their invitation, the entire application will be cancelled. The main applicant and the connected party who declines will receive information about cancellation of the application.
The application remains active for 7 days before it expires.
Once the application expires, the primary applicant will need to submit a new nabtrade application.
Yes, it is safe to accept the nabtrade invitation via link provided on the email.
You can decline the application invitation via the link in the email. The primary applicant will be notified, and the application will be cancelled. You can reach out to the primary applicant directly to discuss options.
