Navigate between accounts  

The new nabtrade platform makes it easier to navigate between accounts and portfolios.

Total Wealth view  

Total Wealth view lets you see your position, with an at-a-glance view of your investments, everyday NAB banking accounts, credit cards and loans. 

 

Portfolio view

Portfolio snapshot shows you a quick summary of your nabtrade portfolio (for a single legal entity) across domestic and international holdings and cash. You can also see the day's percentage change and gain/loss  at a portfolio level, and also by domestic and international holdings.

Portfolio summary

By default, when you log in, you will land on the My Portfolios page.  Portfolio view is a new feature to nabtrade. If you have multiple legal entities, you'll see a snapshot of them all in the portfolio view. Click on any entity to see a detailed breakdown of its trading and cash accounts.

Under your Portfolio summary, you will see:

  1. Market value – the total value of your domestic and international holdings.
  2. Day change – the percentage gain or loss for your domestic and international holdings for the day, reflected in AUD.
  3. Gain/Loss – percentage gain or loss for your domestic holdings to date (or if you transferred holdings, from the transfer date).
  4. Available cash balance – your cash account balance excluding any unsettled trades.   
  5. Total cash balance – your cash account balance inclusive  of unsettled trades.
  6. Trading account – clicking into a trading account will allow you to view your account snapshot, holdings, open orders, order history, confirmations, and ETO statements for that entity.
  7. Cash account – clicking into a cash account will allow you to view your transactions, account details, statements, and future transfers for that entity. 

Using the portfolio view

  • To find your holdings on the new nabtrade platform, go to Popular links on the right-hand side and select Holdings. This will take you to your default account.
  • To navigate between accounts, use the accounts selector in the top right hand corner.
  • Under the All holdings tab, use the Action menu next to each holding to buy, sell, set alerts, or add to watchlists.

  • To find your holdings history on the new nabtrade platform, go to Popular links on the right-hand side and select Holdings. This will take you to your default account.
  • To navigate between accounts, use the accounts selector in the top right hand corner.
  • Select the Holding details tab.

  • To find your holdings details on the new nabtrade platform, go to Popular links on the right-hand side and select Holdings. This will take you to your default account.
  • To navigate between accounts, use the accounts selector in the top right hand corner.
  • Under the All holdings tab, navigate to the Action menu next to each holding and select Holding details.

  • To find your open orders on the new nabtrade platform, go to Portfolio in the main menu and select Open orders. This will take you to your default account.
  • To navigate between accounts, use the accounts selector in the top right hand corner.
  • You can also navigate to Trading in the main navigation and click on Order status. Here you can view open orders across all trading accounts.

  • To find your order history on the new nabtrade platform, go to Portfolio in the main menu and select Portfolio snapshot.
  • Choose the relevant portfolio (legal entity) under My portfolios, then click into the domestic or international trading account.
  • Select the order history tab. By default we will display your order history for the last 7 days. Use the filter to select a custom date range.
  • You can also navigate to Trading in the main navigation and click on Order status.

A confirmation is a record of your share trade. 

  • To find your confirmations on the new nabtrade platform, go to Portfolio in the main navigation and select Confirmations. This will take you to your default account.
  • To navigate between accounts, use the accounts selector in the top right-hand corner.
  • Here you can download your confirmation notes, as well as see details like trade date, settlement date, volume, price, stock code, action (buy/sell) and net consideration.

You can choose a default trading account and a default cash account in nabtrade to make regular tasks quicker and easier.

  • To set a default account, go to Settings in the main navigation, select Profile and then go to the Profile settings tab. Here you can set a default trading account and a default cash account.
What is a default trading account?
  • Your default trading account is the account nabtrade will automatically show first when you’re trading.
  • When you go to Holdings, Open orders, or Confirmations from the main menu, you’ll see information for your default trading account. You can still switch accounts at any time using the account selector.

What is a default cash account?

  • Your default cash account is the account that will be pre‑selected when you transfer funds. This makes it quicker and easier to move money in and out of nabtrade, without needing to select an account each time.
