NAB’s multiple applicant trust onboarding feature allows customers to invite all required parties such as individual trustees and beneficiaries to complete their onboarding digitally. This removes the need to visit a branch or complete paper forms.
During your application, you’ll be prompted to enter contact details (email and mobile) for connected parties such as Individual trustees or Beneficiaries. NAB will send them an invitation to onboard themselves digitally from donotreply@nab.com.au
Yes, the primary applicant receives the acknowledgement of successful application submission via text and email.
There are text and email reminders sent on Day 2, Day 4 and Day 6 confirming the status of the application including how many connected parties have actioned the invite and how many are pending. Application submission date is considered as Day 0 and these are calendar days.
Once the connected parties have accepted their invitations and verified their identity online, all applicants receive the successful application email as well as text.
In a situation where any of the connected parties declines their invitation, the entire application will be cancelled. The main applicant and the connected party who declines will receive information about cancellation of the application.
The application remains active for 7 days before it expires.
Once the application expires, the primary applicant will need to submit a new nabtrade application.
No. Business NIN’s cannot be used by the Primary Applicant during multi-party onboarding. The Primary Applicant must complete onboarding using their personal NIN.
NOTE: To obtain a personal NIN, you need to be a personal banking customer at NAB.
Yes, it is safe to accept the nabtrade invitation via link provided on the email.
You can decline the application invitation via the link in the email. The primary applicant will be notified, and the application will be cancelled. You can reach out to the primary applicant directly to discuss options.
No. A Business NIN cannot be used to onboard customers as part of multi-party onboarding.
Each connected party (such as Individual trustees) must complete onboarding using their personal NIN if they already have an account with NAB.
